The presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in New Hampshire communities not only violates our local sovereignty, but it also puts Granite Staters directly in harmβs way. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 50 people have died in ICE detention across the country, and the agency is increasingly picking up people who have no criminal records. ICE is also notorious for entering peopleβs homes without a judicial warrant.
Positions on this issue Β· liberal → conservative
- Actively limit ICE cooperation and pass strong state privacy and sanctuary-style protections
- Require judicial warrants and reduce voluntary local assistance to ICE
- Maintain current levels of cooperation without new state restrictions or mandates
- Increase state and local cooperation with ICE on enforcement priorities
- Fully align state and local agencies to assist ICE arrests, detention, and removals
