Most Californians agree on several key issues. Though the exact level of support varies, majorities across the state support abortion access, view immigrants as a benefit, and favor state action on climate change.

  1. Expand and shield abortion access with state funding, interstate protections, and no gestational bans
  2. Maintain broad legal access and defend it against federal or out-of-state restrictions
  3. Keep abortion legal with some limits after viability and conscience accommodations
  4. Impose earlier gestational limits and increase regulation of providers and minors’ access
  5. Prohibit abortion except in narrow cases such as life of the mother
