Issue Position
We need to support small businesses by bringing in the Small Business Administration, creating opportunities for those who have been left behind. Healthcare is also a critical issue, and we need to establish more hospitals and clinics to address our healthcare needs efficiently. Protecting women’s right to choose is crucial, and we must also protect our senior citizens’ Medicare and Social Security benefits, which are at risk from the extreme right’s attempts to reduce or eliminate them.
Issue Position
The COVID-19 pandemic has also highlighted the need for humane policies in healthcare and across all industries. While we have learned the importance of social distancing, we must also recognize the human rights violations that occurred as a result of COVID-19 restrictions. We need to prioritize reversing the most serious violations, such as suspending critical surgeries, including those related to cancer, which have caused immense pain and suffering to those in need. It is time to take action and ensure that our policies and procedures prioritize the well-being of all individuals, regardless of their circumstances.

Suspending or putting healthcare rights on hold is a matter of life and death, whether it is due to a pandemic, national emergency, or any other reason. The medical community must improve in its response to such situations. It is unacceptable for Washington to simply freeze everything and expect us to live with the conditions we face, especially those that worsen our health and take away precious time from our lives.
Issue Position
We need to put an end to the economy of corruption that Congress has designed, which is influenced by cash collusions. We must reclaim our consumer protections, ban corporate price gouging, put pressure on big oil, stabilize fuel prices, reduce shipping costs, and cut taxes for the working class. Corporations that don’t hire and build in America should pay higher taxes, while the working class supports this unique tax plan. By eliminating corruption and greed, we can control inflation, stabilize spending, and allow Americans to live healthier and more productive lifestyles, spending more time with family and friends. We should upgrade our judicial system to avoid delays, eliminate human rights violations and discriminatory practices, and implement criminal justice reforms, reducing fines and expunging records to help individuals recover and return to work. Our law enforcement system should be rebuilt to take on modern challenges, incorporating an understanding of mental health and human behavior, working with communities to find solutions, and promoting respect for one another. Regarding gun legislation, we must use tamper-resistant tracking devices on all manufactured weapons and conduct annual mental health screenings for gun owners to ensure the safety of families, neighborhoods, and our nation. We can preserve the second amendment rights while tracking assault weapons to be prepared for any situation.
Issue Position
Improving our education system requires developing a curriculum that aligns with the needs of our workforce, keeping in mind that technology will play a crucial role. To achieve this, we need to establish new guidelines that provide equal opportunities for education, such as the 25 for Me Act, which is designed to help high school students make informed decisions about their career path by offering a website that predicts job availability in 25 years. Similarly, the 50 for Youth Act provides a framework for legislators, parents, and teachers to ensure that the education system meets the needs of students starting from kindergarten. By eliminating useless degrees and dead-end jobs, we can create a reliable and equal plan for educational needs, reducing the burden of student loans and offering repayment plans that align with our current economy.
Issue Position
The problems with healthcare were already present when the covid pandemic hit, and the poorly designed covid restrictions worsened the situation. These restrictions not only took away our healthcare rights but also affected the ability of hospitals and clinics to earn money, causing a ripple effect throughout the healthcare system. Approximately 80% of hospital and clinic income goes toward staff and operating costs, and when covid restrictions were implemented, doctors and nurses were laid off, while the remaining team had to handle extra workload, leading to longer wait times for procedures and appointments. Some hospitals and clinics even went bankrupt and had to shut down, causing extreme financial difficulty for doctors and nurses who already have high student loans to pay back. These medical professionals were unable to find work elsewhere due to the government’s restrictions on their practice, forcing them to take out mortgages and face financial hardships.

We have much to learn from this experience, especially with the ongoing population explosion and the disappearance of hospitals and clinics. Longer lines, longer wait times, and the need to travel longer distances for healthcare are some of the consequences we face, making the situation even worse. It is crucial to address these issues and develop a more efficient healthcare system that can withstand any emergency or pandemic in the future.

We need to focus on rebuilding our healthcare system to ensure that medical professionals can continue to provide care during extreme conditions such as the COVID-19 pandemic, while still being able to provide life-saving surgeries and pain management for patients. Healthcare must be accessible to everyone, at all times. Looking forward, climate change is a critical concern, with rising temperatures, droughts, and floods causing damage to our environment. We must hold large corporations accountable for their actions and implement regulations to conserve water resources, upgrade dams, and invest in water storage facilities. Small businesses should be incentivized to invest in green technology, such as electrical lawn and garden products, and renewable energy must be a top priority. It is unfortunate that the United States is not leading the way in this area, with most of our solar panels being manufactured in China. This lack of action can be attributed to poor leadership and legislation by both political parties, which has resulted in a loss of jobs and the transfer of crucial technologies to other countries. The EPA should be holding Washington accountable for their inaction on climate change, but unfortunately, they seem to be in bed with the very people they should be regulating. We must not ignore the science and data available to us and take responsibility for our role in mitigating climate change.
Issue Position
Homelessness is a critical issue that needs urgent attention, and it is essential to work together to address it. Inhumane and poor leadership in Washington has exacerbated the issue, affecting not only those living on the streets but also those who are at risk of foreclosure or who are struggling to make ends meet due to high rent or job loss. Homelessness is a problem that affects everyone, including those who have homes, as it impacts neighborhoods, mental health, and overall quality of life. We must cut through red tape and lay down ground rules to bring in the Small Business Administration to address these issues and improve the living conditions of those affected. It is vital to recognize that homelessness is a human issue that leaves individuals scarred and damaged for life, even with medication. Providing support and opportunities for all individuals to thrive will create a better future for everyone.

We cannot ignore the plight of those who are experiencing homelessness. They are forced to seek refuge in places like underpasses, railway sides, parking lots, dumpsters, and alleys, all in a bid to escape harsh weather conditions. It is clear that our political leaders in Washington have failed to address this issue, so it is up to the American people to step up and help those in need. We need to establish a system that is both effective and profitable for small business owners to provide shelter to those experiencing homelessness. By introducing a rate sheet that is linked to their social security checks, business owners can provide shelter and earn a reasonable profit. The government can incentivize this initiative by offering tax breaks, reduced processing fees, and an affordable energy package. This is a humane solution that must be designed, implemented, and put into law as we continue to shape our nation and the world. It is our responsibility to care for one another, and this is a crucial step towards achieving that goal.
Issue Position
The issue of immigration requires our leaders in Washington to recognize that people all over the world are seeking a better life, and we should provide them with equal opportunities to come to our country legally and safely. As we continue to work on security measures, we should also remember that those going through the immigration process are human beings who need assistance. We must take a closer look at the welfare services, such as Section 8 and other public assistance programs, that we offer to immigrants and create new measures that not only assist them but also help us in the long run.

Rather than simply providing temporary shelter for immigrants, we need to invest in a plan that allows them to build equity and wealth, contributing to our society and our economy. By working together and investing in real estate, we can create a better future for immigrants and their families. The Affordable Share Act, which I proposed in another policy, can provide immigrants with an opportunity to move forward and succeed in our country. We must stop wasting valuable resources and start building in a smart, affordable, and sustainable way that benefits everyone. When we invest in equity and good people, we all prosper. Together, we can create a better future for ourselves, our families, and future generations.
Issue Position
Border security is a major concern, and while high-tech solutions are in place, they are not always efficient. Whether it’s a person or a cargo truck, checking them takes time, and there are limitations to how many can be inspected in a 24-hour period due to the vast amount of cargo passing through. This poses a significant risk of smuggling of various illegal goods, including drugs, guns, and even terrorists, which can be very dangerous, especially after the 9/11 attacks.

To address this issue, there is technology currently available that can significantly improve border security. Backup cameras are already standard on most vehicles, and we could consider installing them on all large cargo vessels passing through our borders. This would allow military, national security, border guards, law enforcement, and special investigative teams to monitor the loading and unloading of cargo trailers continuously.

Even if a trailer is taken to a driver’s home or elsewhere, law enforcement could still monitor it for any hidden compartments or illegal goods, such as guns, drugs, money, people, or explosives. This technology would enable us to check thousands of trailers more quickly, saving time and reducing the risk of smuggling. It would also allow authorities to tune in anytime and anywhere, making it a highly efficient solution for border security.

While there will be a cost to outfitting the trailers with this technology, it is a worthwhile investment to secure our borders. The risk of smuggling illegal goods is too great to ignore, and people’s lives depend on effective border security. Thus, we must consider this option seriously and work towards a safer future for our nation.
Issue Position
Further relief for student debt is required to assist students in getting back on track, followed by improved loan arrangements with lower interest rates. The current cost of living necessitates making payments smaller and extending the repayment period as the best way forward. With the cost of living being so high, repaying student loans can be a significant burden for individuals. It is increasingly difficult for students to make ends meet after college, as they begin paying back their student loans while also covering rent or a mortgage. We need a student loan repayment system that fits within the current cost of living and mortgage payment structure. To begin, we can consider a plan in which payments are frozen for the first two years after graduation, enabling individuals to save for a down payment on a house and keep mortgage payments as low as possible. After the two-year freeze period, medium-sized payments can be made for the next five years. This enables individuals to manage both loan and mortgage payments, pay for living expenses, and purchase a vehicle, while also gradually building equity and wealth. After five years, full payments on student loans can be made, providing a sustainable and more affordable path forward for future generations. In addition to this, we must address the housing shortage and increase supply. This will provide essential jobs and revenue for schools, infrastructure, and other areas. It will also help to control high rents and mortgages by introducing smarter, smaller apartments and homes with affordable mortgages. When students, teachers, universities, and the working class come together, we can build a more equitable and balanced society, enabling us to sustain a living in current market conditions. However, this will require a collective effort as the current administration has not provided an effective pathway. We need to unite and demand a solution that is productive, affordable, and sustainable. While student loan forgiveness can provide temporary relief, it is not a long-term solution. We must fix this issue now, and I am available to answer emails or visit to speak more about the problem and potential solutions.
